Publication by the Minister of Justice of Quebec, concurrently with the adoption of the Civil Code of Quebec. It contains information relevant to the sources used in drafting each article of the Code, as well as to changes made in relation with the pre-existing situation, and expresses the official position of the government as to the scope of these provisions. It is therefore an important source used for the interpretation of the Civil Code of Québec.
