Definition : Hail

Atmospheric precipitation made of ice particles, generally spherical in shape, form in storm clouds and fall to the ground during severe weather conditions. Damage caused by hail is covered under a property insurance contract taken out by a syndicate of co-owners in accordance with the third paragraph of article 1073 of the Civil Code of Quebec, unless the insurance policy or a rider sets out, expressly and in clearly legible characters, which of this risk is excluded.
